Funtastic Sports Society is a non-profit organization which hold the annual Funtastic Slo-Pitch Tournament and Music Festival every year during the Canada Day Long Weekend. Our main Vernon event is held at the DND Army Camp, with slo-pitch events happening on ball diamonds throughout the city.
Since 1984, the Vernon and District Funtastic Sports Society has been working to help make our community a great best place to live, learn, work and play. As a result of hosting the annual fundraiser- Funtastic, the society has been able to contribute more than $2.4 million back to the community.
We are dedicated to enhancing the quality of life of residents by advocating for active lifestyles, the opportunity to enjoy all sports, partnering with and funding community initiatives and fostering athletic participation.
Canada’s Greatest Slo-Pitch Tournament & Music Festival
Each year the Funtastic Sports Society hosts Canada’s largest slo-pitch tournament and music festival. As a non-profit organization, all funds raised by Funtastic are used to support sport and recreation in the community.
We don’t do this alone. Our volunteer board of directors host an annual fundraiser- Canada’s largest slo-pitch tournament and music festival and we’re supported by an amazing group of individuals – our 525 volunteers. Each year the Funtastic event brings approximately $4.5 million in direct economic benefit to the local business community.
We thank our many partners including 120 local business sponsors, local government agencies and local community groups who help us each year host the Funtastic Sport & Music Festival.

The core purpose of the Vernon & District Funtastic Sports Society is to preserve and promote sport and recreation and its values in our communities. Our only fundraiser is hosting a world-class event, Canada’s Largest Slo-Pitch Tournament and Music Festival and our contribution is supporting local organizations sport and recreation initiatives.
The Funtastic Sports Society is a community advocate to an active and healthy lifestyle using sport and recreation.
