The Funtastic Sports Society is a non-profit organization, proudly holding the annual Funtastic Slo-Pitch Tournament and Music Festival for almost 40 years, celebrated during the Canada Day Long Weekend. Our main Vernon event is held at DND Sports Field, with slo-pitch events and more happening on ball diamonds throughout the city.
Since 1984, the Vernon & District Funtastic Sports Society has been on a mission of “Building a better community through sport.”
Vernon Matters. Rooted in the heart of Vernon, British Columbia, Funtastic has grown from a local slo-pitch tournament into a vibrant long-weekend celebration of sport, music and community that draws in thousands of players, fans and volunteers each year.
Over four decades, Funtastic has become more than just a game or a concert—it’s a gathering place where friends old and new come together to swing bats, cheer on live bands, and make memories under the Okanagan sky. Through the years, the event has given back generously to the region—funding community projects and recreation spaces, rallying 500+ volunteers and 120+ sponsors to deliver a bigger and better experience every summer.
